Whether you already have some “certification” or you are new to Business Architecture, The Business Architecture Center Of Excellence’s best-in-class face-to-face Classroom Training and Certification Workshops provide teams and individuals with all the enhanced knowledge, easy-to-use tools and the required skills for developing implementing, and managing the highest returning and most cost-effective Business Architecture - engineered for maximum value.
Classroom hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and all classroom presentations and workshop materials are provided on the first day.
We will provide a continental breakfast, lunch, and both morning and afternoon coffee breaks. Please dress comfortably. We strongly suggest you bring a personal computer to receive maximum benefit from the Certification Workshop.
Certification Workshop location and hotel information will be provided to you when we receive your registration. Please feel free to contact us if you need this information prior to registration.
Once a new workshop has been listed, to register, please complete the form provided on our website. As sessions often fill up quickly, we would like to hear from you right away – even for certification workshops several months in the future. We want to be able to accommodate you and look forward to your participation.

You’ll receive live instructor-led training along with feedback and will interact with your instructor as well as participate in interactive activities.

The BACOE recognizes that individuals and businesses aren’t always able to travel to public workshops in person, especially those from remote and geographically diverse areas. We saw the need and responded with the opportunity that offers attendees the ability to become Certified BACOE Business Architects right from their own desks.
In addition to the convenience of a certification workshop you can attend from your home or office, distance learning saves money by eliminating travel costs and time spent out of the office.
We’ve found that this format better benefits individuals as well as small teams by bringing BACOE’s Business Architecture Certification workshop to them. Our live, on-site workshops are always available, but consider the distance learning workshop alternative if your organization doesn’t have enough team members who can all break away for an entire week to attend an in-person workshop.

BACOE’s Business Architecture Certification Workshops are scheduled according to Eastern Time, U.S. The schedule is the same for each session:
Begin at 8:30 a.m.
Break mid-morning
One-hour meal break at 12pm
Reconvene at 1 p.m
Break mid-afternoon
End at 5 p.m.

The Live Online Business Architecture Distance Learning Certification Workshop utilizes the identical teaching methodology as our face-to-face classroom Certification Workshops – instructor presentations, instructor-guided case studies, interactive discussions, workshop attendee presentations to other participants, team breakout sessions, etc.
Yes, Live Online Business Architecture Distance Learning Certification Workshop has the same content. Instructors utilize the exact presentations, case studies, examples, and Workshop activities as face-to-face classroom Certification Workshop sessions.
Yes, the length for a Live Online Business Architecture Distance Learning Certification Workshop is 4 days in length – beginning on Monday and ending on Thursday – just like the face-to-face classroom Certification Workshop.
Every Live Online Business Architecture Distance Learning Certification Workshop attendee will receive login details for access into the Certification Workshop virtual classroom. If the Workshop participant has questions they would like to ask the instructor, they can do so via a secured private link, in the interface.
Full refunds are given if cancellations are made in writing 30 business days before the first day of the workshop. Refunds are not available after that timeframe. BACOE will readily accommodate requests for change of workshop dates that are made in writing 30 business days before the first day of the workshop. Changes are not possible after that time. Any time before a workshop begins, however, it is possible to make substitutions. In the improbable event that BACOE has to cancel a workshop, a notification will be sent 30 days in advance of the scheduled workshop.
Non-payment or no-show does not constitute cancellation.
Payment is due in full at the time of registration and prior to the Workshop start date.

SAMUEL B. (Sam) HOLCMAN is the Chairman of the Pinnacle Business Group, Inc., the Managing Director of the Enterprise Architecture Center Of Excellence (EACOE), and the Business Architecture Center Of Excellence (BACOE), and the President of the Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement (ZIFA). He is considered the “practitioners practitioner” in Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture, and the leading implementer and worldwide educator and trainer in Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture methodologies and techniques.
The Pinnacle Business Group, Inc. and its associated organizations provide its clients with innovative, yet practical solutions to a range of business and systems-related challenges and activities. Sam Holcman, Chairman of the Business Architecture Center of Excellence (BACOE)
In association with Mr. John Zachman, he formed The Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement (ZIFA), to explore, explain, and share the concepts of enterprise architecture. He has developed the Intellectual Capital Maturity ModelTM and the Enterprise Architecture Maturity Model. He has also developed and published works on Cooperatively Optimized Relationships (COR). To better understand an organization’s “DNA”, Sam led the development of The Enterprise FrameworkTM and The Business Architecture Framework™. Both The Enterprise Framework and The Business Architecture Framework have received worldwide acclaim for their understanding and usability while maintaining theoretical purity. He recently published “Reaching the Pinnacle—a Methodology of Business Understanding, Technology Planning, and Change”.
Sam was with Ford Motor Company for 11 years, Vice President of a robotics and factory automation firm for two years, a senior member of a technology delegation to the People’s Republic of China, and a member of a technology delegation to the Commonwealth of Independent States (Soviet Union).
Sam has a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has been elected to Eta Kappa Nu (electrical engineering honors society), and Tau Beta Pi (engineering honors society), is a member of numerous societies and professional organizations, and is a frequent speaker at seminars around the world.

Cancellations made in writing thirty (30) business days prior to the first day of the certification workshop will receive a full refund; no refunds are available after that time.
Requests for change of workshop dates made in writing thirty (30) business days prior to the first day of the certification workshop will gladly be accommodated; no changes are available after that time.
Substitutions, however, may be made at any time prior to the beginning of the certification workshop. The BACOE will notify you thirty (30) days in advance of the certification workshop, in the unlikely event that the certification workshop should have to be cancelled.
